as another natural disaster unfolds before our very eyes.
Have there been more than usual?
I can’t help but wonder what will be next and where.
Today, all my thoughts are consumed with what is happening in Christchurch. I have been offering up prayers for those people who are suffering, uncertain and afraid.
And for those who have begun to grieve.
I also have thanked God for his mercy.
His mercy and grace abound, even in the midst of tragedy.
Today, the things that were important yesterday are not so important.
Disasters like today’s earthquake tend to put things into persepective, if only for a little while.
My heart goes out to all the broken hearted today,
especially those in Christchurch.
